Job Description

Our public sector client is seeking a talented ICT Finance Co-ordinator to help manage costs on an important IT roll-out.The main purpose of this role will be to provide robust financial analysis and commentary, while supporting purchasing and procurementactivities.It will suit a self-starter who hates micro-management!What will it entail

  • Raising purchase orders, ensuring goods / services are receipted in timely fashion as they are accepted
  • Handling purchase ledger queries
  • Establishing and agreeing local processes and procedures for ICT purchasing
  • Accurate record keeping, in relation to budgets, forecasts, PO commitments, GRNs etc
  • Developing, maintaining and reconciling ancillary spreadsheets
  • Ensuring correct posting and coding of costs
  • Reviewing incoming financial report, working with managers and colleagues to understand underlying facts
  • Delivering a monthly analysis of expenditure against forecast for all ICT budgets, and providing a commentary
  • Supporting the annual budgeting process and periodic reforecasts by providing accurate and current data
  • Assisting ICT and Commercial teams with major procurement exercises and information gathering analysis
  • What skills and experience do I need to demonstrateIt is essential you can show good analytical skills as well as demonstrate experience supporting a large purchasing and procurement enterprise.
  • You will be educated to a minimum A Levels standard or equivalent and ideally hold a Chartered Institute of Supply Level 3 or similar qualification
  • Experience of advising senior colleagues on financial rules
  • Experience in financial record keeping
  • Experience in purchasing goods and services
  • Significant experience monitoring expenditure against budget forecasts
  • Significant experience analysing financial information and identifying issues
  • Experience in assisting budgeting and forecasting
  • Experience in assisting with large procurement exercises
  • Strong Excel
