Job Description

As a Production Assembly Operator for Vision Lighting, a Leeds-based lighting manufacturer, you’ll play an important role in our business’s manufacturing processes.Production Assembly OperatorLeeds, LS12 4JD

Please note: Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.Vision Lighting is the UK’s leading sign lighting manufacturer we are proud of our high levels of innovation, and we are currently in a period of growth.The team all have a passion for quality, it’s the reason we hold the ISO 9001 certification for our commitment to our quality management system and a culture of continuous improvement.The Production Assembly Operator role:During this role, you will play an important role in our manufacturing processes, assembling light units and sub-assembly stock to ensure orders are made to the correct specification and despatched on time, as well as ensuring the company meets its sales targets.As you will be working in a small team it is essential that all tasks can be carried out by each member of the team, in case of holidays or sickness.   • Assemble light units and sub-assembly stock such as gear trays
  • Where required, assembling accessories such as brackets to customer requirements
  • Packing and despatch of finished goods and stocked items.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Follow work instructions to fulfil orders to customer specifications
  • Follow procedures and processes accurately for consistent quality outputs
  • Gather parts / materials required to complete orders.
  • Maintain sub-assembly stock levels to ensure a quick turnaround of orders.
  • Ensure that machinery used is operational through regular maintenance
  • Completing production and quality forms in line with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related targets/results as needed.
