Job Description

Software TesterSalary: £45,000 - £55,000 + benefitsRole: Manual and Automation Testing of SaaS ApplicationsLocation: Hybrid - 3 days in the office (East area of Leeds) and 2 days remote

  • Do you have 4+ years experience as a QA / Software Tester
  • Do you have 1+ year commercial Automation Testing experience using Java, Cucumber, and BDD
  • Have you mentored and coached other QAs
Our client is a fast growing global technology vendor who provide embedded devices and SaaS based applications. Their technology stack spans multiple solutions providing visualisations, reporting, analytics and integration to companies across the globe.They have a progressive approach to a development model and tools, constantly investing to improve how they work and their products.They are looking for a Senior Software Tester to help shape and drive the future of R&D and the products. This role will suit an experienced, inquisitive & enthusiastic Test Engineer wanting to work within an exciting and evolving environment producing enterprisegrade applications and solutions. You will have the opportunity to coach and mentor whilst leading test activities. This team utilise automation testing (BDD, Java, and Cucumber) so it is essential that you have experience full stack back end, functional,and automation testing.Software Tester - Responsibilities
  • Work as part of an Agile Squad to ensure quality of new features incrementally improve the software
  • Support development squads with functional testing and test automation
  • Follow industry standard testing guidance and best practices
  • Participate in planning and execution of exploratory and regression testing phases for major deployments
  • Self-improving skill set and domain knowledge whilst delivering mid to high complexity tasks
  • Share knowledge and improvements with other testers across our Test teams
Software Tester - Requirements
  • 4+ years experience in full-stack manual software testing (including functional, back end, front end, etc.)
  • 1+ year commercial experience of automation testing using Java, Cucumber (or other BDD style language)
  • Experience coaching and mentoring
  • Keen self-improvement attitude and desire to stay up-to-date with the industry
  • Experience working in an Agile (Scrum) team to deliver software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with defect management
