Job Description

Senior Developer roleI am currently looking for a Senior Developer to come and lead a small team of developers for my clients ongoing project. Working closely alongside the Project Manager and the client you will be responsible for the rewrite of one of their flagship systems that has been a crucial tool in their success over the past decade. Work on this has already begun so you would be coinciding with further expansion plans of redeveloping the architecture and systems.The skills that I am looking from our applicants are as followed so if you feel like you are ticking some of the following boxes below then please do get in touch with myself and I will be happy to answer any queries you may have!Essential skills:

  • Good business and technical presentation skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and good standard of English
  • Excellent attention to detail, and system testing skills
  • Strong technical background in Laravel, PHP, JavaScript etc.
  • Competent with MySQL, and experience of large datasets
  • Experience of Svelte and/or VueJS would be an advantage
  • Able to conduct code reviews and recommend improvements
  • Understand and use Secure by Design practices
  • Able to code to PSR-12 standards
  • Experience building and consuming Rest APIs
  • Be able to mentor and train your team
  • Have a desire to keep up to date with technology changes
  • Experience with GIT, Vagrant, PHPunit and Selenium (or similar tools)
  • Proven skills in writing good unit tests
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies, especially AWS
