Headquartered in London, Burberry is a design, marketing and retail led business with a global reputation for innovative product design, digital marketing initiatives and dynamicretail strategies JOB PURPOSE The Test Manager will be responsible for maintaining the framework and the standards by which all Retail projects will adhere to. The Test Manager will validate that solutions meet quality andperformance requirements by ensuring that every test effort is effectively planned, monitored, and executed, and that core activities required by the testing framework are completed. With over 500 Stores / 11 languages, the Test Manager will oversee testingactivities for global Retail projects critical to Burberry’s core business strategy.The Test Manager will also be responsible for managing Retail IT’s test environments along with planning and managing individual releases for new or enhanced IT services.They will ensure service readiness and plan, direct and coordinate service validation activities to deliver successful release deployments without negatively impacting existing services. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management of QA Test resources (both line and matrix).
  • Maintain the testing framework and standards
  • Ensure appropriate planning and management of test resources
  • Collaborate with other QA Managers to establish processes for the execution of test phases
  • Collaborate and manage chosen test partner
  • Oversee all test phases – unit, system, integration, functional, non-functional, OAT, etc.
  • Ensure that all required testing deliverables are created including testing strategy, testing scenarios, conditions and expected results, test scripts, testing control sheets and test completion reports
  • Assess the progress and effectiveness of the test effort
  • Execute review cycles including informal review, formal review, testing sign-off and quality assurance review
  • Engage and collaborate with all relevant stakeposholders including solution build teams, service management, and operations to define and deliver on testing requirements
  • Facilitate the integration of automated testing throughout the test lifecycle, embed risk based testing and reuse of test scripts
  • Ensure that testing efforts are effectively planned, monitored and executed and the core activities required by the testing process are completed in a structured and consistent manner
  • Manage test data
  • Manage the setup of automated, risk based and intelligent testing to optimise regression testing processes
  • Management of the Retail test environments, managing supply and demand working closely with project managers based on their delivery plans
  • Collaborate with the project teams and service owners to plan and manage individual releases, and ensure their effective and efficient deployment
  • Collaborate with the Service Transition Manager and contribute to the creation and implementation of an IT-wide service transition approach
  • Collaborate with the Change Manager to create change management plans and to contribute towards readiness for change by the affected groups on in-scope release
  • Ensure service readiness documents (release and deployment plan, release schedule, operational service documentation, readiness risk plans, etc.) are created and accepted by stakeholders
  • Ensure that transition risks are identified and mitigated (E.g. rollout plans if any)
  • Ensure Change Requests are submitted and approved for all releases
  • Collaborate with Service Transition Manager to ensure service handover is conducted
PERSONAL PROFILE
  • Demonstrated experience in Testing
  • Experience in Application Development
  • Knowledge of Quality Standards & Procedures - ISTQB Foundation preferable
  • Understanding of automated test tools
  • Experience with Jira would be beneficial
  • Experience working in small to large size project teams
  • Experience in working on Global Projects would be desirable
  • Experience with a variety of technologies
  • Experience developing and implementing automation frameworks
  • Experienced management / undertaking functional, performance, and regression testing
  • Experience in API driven testing
  • Experience in cloud based testing, e.g. AWS (Amazon Web Services)
  • Experience in testing on POS Projects desirable
  • Experience in testing on Payment Projects would be desirable
  • Experience in testing of Fiscal Countries would be desirable
  • Experience working as a part of an agile team, testing code at pace and in iterations, with frequent stakeholder engagement
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information succinctly and concisely
  • Builds effective relationships through interpersonal skill and technical expertise to aid cross-functional working
  • International experience
  • Presents a welcoming attitude to change and adjusts dynamically to continuous business change and improvement
