Job Description

Marks Sattin are currently working with a Thorpe Park, East Leeds based business within the Retail sector for the role of Purchase Ledger Supervisor!Within this role, they are looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger candidate to join their small team and oversee the AP ledger and work alongside the Purchase Ledger Manager.Supervisory experience is not essential for this role, but would be beneficial. However, Accounts Payable experience is essential. If you are looking for a step up from your usual AP role, this may be the role for you!The company can offer a salary of up to £27,000 and can also offer hybrid working (2 days home working a week).Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Acting as a Senior member of the Purchase Ledger team and offering supervisory support
  • Responsible for handling all supplier queries in accordance with Service Level Agreements.
  • Assisting with the checks on our own web orders to prevent any fraudulent transactions from being processed and assisting in the weekly processing of payments to suppliers.
  • Reconciling supplier accounts and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Resolving invoice queries from the wider business, e.g. in respect of approval routes, invoice details
  • Report to Purchase Ledger Manager
  • Daily contact with all departments (including to Director level) regarding the status of activities on the invoice approval systems, payment authorisations, payment issues and queries raised
  • Regular contact with suppliers to maintain a positive relationship
  • Key Finance contact for all new suppliers.
