Job Description

Project Manager - SecurityFCALondon, Leeds, or EdinburghHybrid working£100K + WorkForce Consultant OVERALL ROLE PURPOSE:The Project Manager, Technical Specialist sits in a divisional services team and is responsible for the successful delivery of large and complex projects within the FCA divisional portfolio.The Security Programme is a multi-year Programme focused on implementing a wide range of Cybersecurity controls and this role is specifically to be responsible for the full delivery lifecycle of a Cybersecurity project from initiation through scoping, mobilizationand delivery of benefitsKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Successfully deliver large and complex projects, including; operating model, technology, and people change aspects, from inception to agreed business outcomes, following FCA quality standards and within agreed baselines of time, budget and scope. Buildingand managing stakeholder relationships across the FCA, managing expectations, defining and agreeing scope, facilitating key decisions.Developing the project plan, deliverables and milestones to successfully deliver the business outcomes, identifying and sourcing resources to achieve time and cost expectations Resolving dependencies, issues and risks within delivery.Ensure delivery adheres to the FCA Project Management Policies, Standards and Methods and Governance Framework Able to direct and coach other project managers and project resources to deliver best practice and best in class identity capabilitiesMINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

  • Significant experience managing successful large and highly complex Cybersecurity change projects (£multi-million) in Financial Services or for a government or regulatory body, managing employees and 3rd parties in a matrix, from inception through to endof warranty / exit criteria achieved.
  • Significant experience shaping business ideas and initiatives into detailed project plans for multiworkstream delivery to achieve business outcomes
  • Significant experience of planning and controlling project delivery, with a project management qualification.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
  • Substantial experience of implementing Cybersecurity technologies, operating model and processes, from project inception through to final sign-off in one or more of the following domains:
  • * PKI * SASE
  • EDR/ASR/EPP
  • Data Retention Management
  • Data Discovery and Minimisation
  • Data Classification

  • Firewall & Network Assurance
  • Experienced at leading people through structural, procedural and cultural change, gaining commitment to new ways of working.
  • Ability to build working relationships with sponsors, accountable executives, key business stakeholders and business SMEs
  • Politically savvy, able to balance conflicting strategies, priorities and personalities, resilient and tenacious to ensure delivery whilst managing conflict
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, identifying and managing dependencies, risks and issues to ensure successful delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to engage with all levels of the organisation, providing timely and meaningful communications to update status, share progress and manage expectations of stakeholders
  • Exceptional user of influencing and negotiating techniques.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:Experience of working within an Agile environmentAble to coach others in project/programme management methodologies and to operate within the FCA project framework. Awareness of the FCA strategy, structures and ways of workingActive participant in industry and professionally relevant bodies
