  • Maintaining a consistent route performance measure and ensuringoptimisation of current network and viability of all operations
  • Effectivelyleadingnetwork growth initiatives through analysis, review, and route performance
  • Ensuringthatschedulingefficiency is optimized across the network
  • Working with key suppliers in the development of technical tools and solutions to network planning and schedulingchallenges
  • Collaboratingwith the divisionalnetworksupportteam and peers in other operating companies
  • Managing relationshipswith other teams, ensuringthat inputs from depot leadership teams are encouraged, considered, and managed
  • Maintaining strong links with key internal stakeholders; Commercial, Finance, Depot Leadership Teams, Revenue, and Marketing, at both an operating company and divisional level
  • Maintaining local authoritystakeholderrelationshipsat officer level and proactively promoting the commercial development agenda with external stakeholders
  • Supporting wider stakeholderengagement including, but not limited to corporate partners, universities, and other communityorganisations
  • Presenting network or route development proposals for sign off or onward referral
  • Togetherwith the Operating Company team, supportingcommunityengagementactivities
  • Ensuring the Network/Schedules Team provides full support to the operationsteam to continually improve and maintain the punctuality of services
  • Managing the preparation of tender bids for submissionwithrecommendation to the operating company Senior Leadership team and delegatedauthorities
  • Ensuringthat schedules are created in line with registered services
  • Supporting the process of succession planning, including the development of team members
  • Ensuringthat all registers and data exports are updated in a timely manner, whilst ensuring accurate and timely registrationdocumentation maintenance and submission
What are we looking for
  • Strong influencing and communication skills, with the experience to challenge Senior Management in business critical decisions when necessary
  • Good decision maker with a strong understanding of the wider impact of commercial activity on the immediate business environment
  • Self-starting and motivated to play a part in further developingour strategic capability
  • Capable of using and developing technical solutions and tools, in both scheduling and network planning
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast paced environment and meeting strict deadlines
  • Confident delivering strategic presentations and plans to colleagues at a senior level
  • A focus on high quality deliverywith excellent attention to detail
  • Commercially focused and financially aware
  • Excellent customer service focus withability to interpret and represent the customer voice internally
  • A strong team ethic who can motivate others by their actions and behaviours
  • Experience of research and utilising customer insight
  • Aptitude to build and maintain stakeholder relations, indicative of a professional leader
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the road traffic act and driver hours legislation
  • Understanding of scheduling
  • Ability to understand the nature of the local busnetwork
