LawyerNationwide & overseasFull-time£42,009+ with regular pay risesNo timesheets, no targets, no billing and plenty of adventure!Army Legal Services is a specialist branch that delivers military legal support and were interviewing soon. You will be working to the same high standards as any civilian lawyer but will be offered opportunities and challenges that few regular practicescould match.From prosecuting at a court martial to advising senior commanders on the rules of engagement in operational theatres that could be anywhere around the world, well stretch your mind and test your mettle with new and varied legal challenges over a range ofspecialisms. Youll also have a crucial role in training our officers and soldiers from across the Army on the Law of Armed Conflict, military law, discipline and administrative action.GAIN QUALIFICATIONS, LEARN NEW SKILLSAs a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Advocate (Scotland), you have the skills and knowledge your Army needs. We will give you the chance to take those skills further, both in practice and in giving you the opportunity to work towards your Higher Rightsof Audience and other post-graduate qualifications. From the moment you join us as a Captain, youll be set on a clear path for promotion and progression, receiving the support that you need to rise through the ranks and unleash your potential. You willbe trained in multiple areas of law (including the Law of Armed Conflict, International Human Rights Law, Military Law, Criminal Law and Employment Law) by some of the worlds leading academics and practitioners and asked to advise commanders on their rightsand obligations, often in austere environments and highly pressured scenarios.It doesnt stop there. Whatever your background when you arrive, youll all go on to have one thing in common: you will receive the best leadership and management training in the world at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst where you will learn what itmeans to be an officer in the British Army.Sport is a big part of Army life. We know that playing sport regularly improves not only your physical fitness, but also your team work and brings a sense of camaraderie - all of which are so important to being a great soldier. Youll be encouraged to trynew sports as well as developing your existing skills.
