Job Description

Knowledge Lawyer - Real Estate (Manchester/Leeds) Ryder Reid Legal is working closely with an international law firm to recruit an experienced Knowledge Lawyer to join their Manchester or Leeds (location flexible) Real Estate team on a permanent basis. The Real Estate team has nearly 200 employees, made upof around 70 Paralegals, along with Legal Apprentices, Managers and Lawyers making it one of the largest and most established teams within the UK.This role provides an exciting opportunity to develop others and help ensure that the team are providing excellent legal services. The successful candidate will have the chance to shape this new position and there are opportunities for progression. The successfulcandidate may also be required to travel to other office locations depending on business needs.The successful candidate will be responsible for duties including:

  • Delivering group training on a range of Real Estate topics
  • Developing and maintaining a training programme
  • Identifying new training needs using own initiative
  • Providing training and development for Paralegals and Apprentices within the Real Estate team
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Qualified Lawyer (SRA or CILEX) with a minimum of 3 years experience within Real Estate gained from a commercial law firm
  • A good understanding of Land Registry documents and applications, SDLT and Real Estate Management work
  • Supervisory experience and experience of defining work processes
