Job Description

Title: Information Security AssistantSalary: Between £25,000 and £30,000 DOELocation: Leeds (on-site/hybrid)We are currently looking to hire an Information Security Assistant to become part of a dynamic Information Security team, tasked with overseeing daily inspections, security surveillance, and providing end-user assistance throughout my clients operationallandscape.As a member of the IT Security team, you will gain exposure to all facets of my clients IT infrastructure and its components. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Information Security team to pinpoint and address security-related issues.We view this as an exceptional opportunity for individuals aspiring to progress in their existing information security or infrastructure careers, demonstrating a readiness to operate within a high-speed setting.Responsibilities:

  • Providing routine assistance in handling and addressing security alerts generated by systems and end users.
  • Conducting security checks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, performing reconciliation and compliance checks, and investigating any anomalies.
  • Recognizing and promoting awareness of security risks.
  • Collaborating with the broader IT team to resolve security queries and issues.
  • Contributing to the creation of user awareness and technical training guides.
  • Undertaking other pertinent tasks as required.
Technical Requirements:
  • Practical involvement in a comparable position
  • Proficiency in generating reports or protocols
  • Familiarity with information security and/or infrastructure
  • Knowledge of at least one information security standard, such as Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, or the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • Familiarity with any of the following: Microsoft O365 Security solutions, Networking, Security operations, Vulnerability Management, Security Auditing
  • Comprehension of risk assessments, technology audits, or analogous assignments
