Job Description

New Graduate role in Leeds! I am delighted to be recruiting for a qualified accountant who is going to train and develop someone at the early stages of their career. This opportunity will be joining a successful growing business based in Leeds on a hybridbasis.The role would suit a candidate wishing to pursue a career in Finance, who is willing to start at the basics and eager to develop their role as their experience and skills progress. The individual would need to demonstrate having a desire to provide highservice standard to other parts of the business and build relationships which encourage an open and productive environment.Responsibilities and Duties

  • Customer exceptions rating.
    • Review the pricing for jobs that fall outside of the companys normal rating systems.
  • New customer set up.
    • Support the Sales team in the on-boarding of new customer accounts efficiently, ensuring all Finance elements are reviewed/challenged where necessary.
    • Act as an Early Warning System for the Finance team by performing credit checks on customer prospects to improve risk management.
  • Network Dispute Resolution.
    • Review and validate claims from partner depots in terms of additional customer charges.
    • Liaise between Operations, Sales, and Finance to ensure effective dispute resolution.
    • Update and maintenance of the companys existing reporting suite on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Including:
      • Rebate Tracking.
      • Customer Reporting.
      • ESG Reporting.
As the candidates skills and experience progresses, the candidate will be involved in:
  • Commercial Tenders & Pricing.
    • Support the Commercial Finance Manager with pricing, and profitability analysis during tender processes for key customer accounts.
    • Assist during reactive BAU offensive/defensive customer pricing scenarios.
    • Help facilitate routine price increases.
    • Support rebate calculations and appropriate accounting.
  • Business Intelligence Development (Excel, Power Bi etc).
    • Work alongside the Commercial Finance Manager to maintain and develop reporting tools to support the business in terms of commercial decision making.
  • Ad-hoc reporting/analysis.
