Job Description

Elevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a fantastic business in the Leeds area as they look to recruit a Finance Manager into their team to directly report into the Finance Business Partner on a full time, permanent basis. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support with the production of accurate management accounts and financial information in a timely manner. This will include all areas of the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements
  • Support with the preparation of annual budgets / business plan and quarterly forecasting. This will require close collaborative working links with internal stakeholders to develop high quality cost and income information for the business
  • Execute the preparation of essential statistical and statutory reports as per directives
  • Preparation of regular reports as required, providing analysis and insight on financial and non-financial performance, and providing a link between both
  • Leading the development of Management Information reports across the Financial Planning team and work with colleagues throughout the business and industry to meet all requirements
  • Collaborate with the other members of the Financial Planning team to drive consistency in reporting, budgeting/forecasting and processes where applicable
  • Support with the reporting of statutory accounting in line with accounting policies.
  • Provision of timely balance sheet account reconciliations as directed
  • Ensure that timely customer sales invoices are produced as required, with relevant supporting documentation collated from across the business
Person Specification:
  • The post holder should be a qualified accountant, or studying towards achievement of this with proven demonstrable significant experience of working in a finance related role
  • Must be well organised, an effective communicator, both written and oral, and possess good interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work under own initiative and effectively manage their own workload
  • Must have experience in the provision and analysis of accurate, timely financial information
  • Must be IT literate and have detailed knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office products and at least one integrated accounting system, preferably SAP.
  • The ability to use Excel to an advanced level is essential and experience of developing any MI / BI reports would be preferable (e.g. using PowerBi or Tableau)
  • Have the ability to work to tight deadlines
