Job Description

An employer of choice and finance centre of excellence has appointed Gifford and Partners to appoint a Finance Manager - Management Accounting. This role will not only be responsible for overseeing the Management Accounting, Budgeting and Forecasting, butwill also support the day to day accounting that is required from the other business units. The role will work closely with the cost centres and budget holders acting as a business partner whilst helping them understand overheads and influencing senior leveldecision making. Other responsibilities will include and not be limited to;

  • Produce robust monthly forecasting and annual budgets.
  • Challenging stakeholders to ensure accurate and realistic projections, help them in delivering analysis, and insight on areas of potential spend.
  • Manage a small team of reporting part and fully qualified level accountants.
  • Track variances to forecast and present findings to the Finance Director and board.
  • Work with the wider finance team to continue to create best in class processes whilst also bridging relations with them and senior stakeholders and the executive board.
  • Liaise with external advisors.
  • Provide training, guidance and mentoring to wider areas outside of finance.
Essentially this role is pivotal to support future growth and requires a post qualified ACMA/ACCA/ACA accountant. Ideally you will possess some exposure to management and have a desire to work alongside a first class finance team who collectively nailit at working as a team to get the job done!
