Job Description

An opportunity for a dynamic, bright and driven individual with both a technical accounting and team focused grounding to work alongside the group finance team of a business that has 20+ year history of achieving double digit growth at arguably one of themost exciting phases of the companys growth story!In addition to core technical accounting and analytical skills, the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to take ownership of projects liaising across the business. The success of this role will be based upon the following responsibilities beingachieved;

  • Owning the month end close bridging communication between group and the regional teams.
  • Resolving variances and providing high level commentary as well as distributing results to the board and senior stakeholders.
  • Maintain and record purchase price accounting adjustments (PPA).
  • Maintain and review all lease accounting.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and continuity of the financial controls across the group.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the quarterly accounting schedule and annual audit.
  • Provide feedback, review and support to the regional finance teams.
The exposure and stakeholder management of this role requires a post qualified ACA/ACCA/CPA accountant from Big4 or Top10. Ideally you will have had experience of purchase price accounting and exposure to an international organisation would be a distinctadvantage. Exquisite communication both verbally and by way of writing is a must at this level not only to present but also challenge and to push back on concepts where required. A truly excellent role providing the perfect springboard onto becoming FinancialController or at very least, one of the best first moving roles to give an outstanding grounding and appreciation of industry.
