Job Advert Corporate Tax Assistant ManagerIts a tax compliance role, but not as you know it.This is a tax role that truly offers the opportunity to advise and influence one of the UK largest Supermarket retailers. Following a change in ownership, this is an opportunity to work on a huge variety of projects, touching on all areas of the business.Working in one of the most dynamic and fast-paced markets you will get involved in Capital Allowances projects, R&D, transfer pricing, transactions, and a whole host of other tax matters.This is an incredible opportunity to expand your skills and experience, with the support of an established tax team, continuing your development to help advance your career.Your roleAlthough the tax team of 10 sits within the finance function the role stretches beyond finance into the wider business. You will have the opportunity to work with and gain exposure/experience across the whole retail environment helping to build an understandingof the changing tax legislation in order to impact, influence and inform decision making across ASDA.You will also be able to expand your experience beyond corporate tax by providing tax support on areas such as SDLT and employment taxes. You will work closely with the direct tax senior manager and two experienced managers, who will provide you with continuoussupport, development and learning.You will play a key role in the team, including supporting with quarterly reporting to investors, preparation of corporate tax computations and tax disclosures for financial statements, plus many opportunities for you to get involved in a wide range of adhoc projects.About you
