Michael Page are recruiting an experienced FM Category Buyer in the Leeds region to manage the indirect spend & commercial relationships on FM categories and sub categories for one of our large international clients.Client DetailsMichael Page are retained with one of our major clients who are based in the Leeds, Sheffield and Birmingham as we are aiming to find the most suitable procurement candidate for this indirect procurement FM Cat Buyer role.You will need 5+yrs experience and you will be working for a large international organisation in a challenging and complex role.DescriptionIn this FM Cat Buyer position you will provide a cost effective and value added procurement service to the business.You will need to provide appropriate support to the relevant procurement teams in order to assist in the delivery of saving initiatives and FM spend targets.You will be working closely with an established procurement team and you will be expected to develop and maintain positive and effective working relationships with key internal stakeholders in order to gain an understanding of requirements to improve the service provided.You will liaise with other relevant departments and plant personnel to identify needs and agree specifications to achieve maximum value and efficiency.You will manage supplier relationships across the FM spend categories in a professional and effective manner.Any NEC3/NEC4 experience you may have would be an added benefit to the business.Profile5yrs+ experience - requiredExperience as a procurement professionalCommercial awareness and excellent interpersonal skills: negotiation, influencing, facilitation skillsProven ability to analyse, interpret and act upon large amounts of information, with a keen attention to detailNumerical ability, in particular able to understand, analyse and interpret financial informationConfident, pro-active attitude, with the ability to influence key stakeholdersComputer literate with practical experience of SAPProject management skillsA team player, with a flexible approach to workIdeally educated to degree level or equivalent and a member of CIPS.Experience managing multiple internal stakeholdersLeeds bacsed and happy to travel to Birmingham once/twice a monthJob Offer£40-45K + package + benefits Required skills
