We strongly value, encourage and support diversity, equity, and inclusion.We are currently looking for an Automation Tester to be part of our exciting new Digital Delivery Hub in Leeds. This is an opportunity to be involved at the beginning of an exciting new initiative within the Digital Delivery Hub and shape the testing strategyfor digital delivery.Key Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive test strategies that encompass various testing phases, including unit, integration, system, and acceptance testing
• Spearhead the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and scripts, ensuring efficient and effective test execution
• Craft clear and concise test scenarios using Gherkin syntax, ensuring alignment with business requirements and user stories
• Ensure the highest quality of software by implementing rigorous QA processes, including test planning, execution, defect tracking, and management
• Support and mentor team of QA engineers and testers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement in testing practices
• Working closely with the development teams to ingrain Quality engineering principles to optimise cycle time

Key Skills/Experience Required:

• Hands on Automation testing experience with ability to mentor other team members
• Experience of establishing test practices within Agile delivery environments
• Has successfully embedded test driven and test led approaches
• Understands the Test Pyramid and has implemented strategies to avoid Testing Ice Cream Cone
• Significant experience in test automation, continuous integration and continuous delivery
• Experience in use of tools such as Karate, Gherkin, Cucumber Jmeter
• Expert in the principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of the testing process.
• Experience in ensuring business/service continuity and operational resilience embedded within test frameworks
• Excellent problem solving and team collaboration skills.
• Excellent communicator, able to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and ability to influence
