Demob Job Reference: J4432Job Title: Service EngineerLocation: Sunderland, Tyne & WearSalary: £33,000 starting salary + benefitsStart Date: ImmediateIntroduction:Our client is now currently recruiting for a Service Engineer to join their existing team. The successful candidate will be based in Sunderland, Tyne & Wear and will be responsible for working between the site and as a ServiceEngineer covering the UK, Ireland and some overseas locations. Please note that this role will involve around 60% travel therefore you must be flexible to being away from home Monday to Friday. You will be responsible for working at the factory putting productkits together and when on site you will carry out commissioning or servicing of equipment. This is an electrically biased role so therefore a strong electrical engineering background is needed.This is the ideal opportunity to work for a company that operate within a niche market delivering very specialised equipment to their customers. They are a family run business and in return for your hard work they do offer a degree of flexibility. The startingsalary is £33,000 but this will increase to £35,000 once more experienced within the role.Service Engineer Applicant Requirements:

  • Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Qualification.
  • Must hold an NVQ Level 2 / 3 or equivalent.
  • Experience in MS Office particularly Word and Excel.
  • Must have a strong electrical engineering bias.
  • Basic mechanical skills.
  • Fit and capable of lifting articles as required for the job.
  • Fit and capable of working at heights.
  • Must hold Full UK driving licence.
  • Hold a current UK Passport.
Service Engineer Benefits:
  • £33,000 Starting Salary.
  • Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 5pm & Friday 8.30am - 3pm.
  • 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
  • Mobile, laptop, Tools, Uniform and PPE provided.
  • Pool vehicle when out visiting customers.
  • All expenses paid when away from home.
NOTE - Our client encourages applications from candidates from both commercial and ex-military backgrounds; Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force, they are open to background as long as you have a strong electrical/electronics/radio or communicationsengineering background i.e REME Electronics, Royal Signals, Royal Air Force Communications Technician / RAF / Army Avionics or Royal Navy Weapons Engineer.
