We are recruiting for one of the largest providers of social care services within the North East delivering a range of services on behalf of Sunderland City Council. Their mission is to provide customers with the care and support they need to live happy, healthy and successful lives.This is a temporary position for a maximum of 6 monthsThe postholder will be responsible to the Strategic Finance Manager and Senior Accountants and the successful candidate will assist on a team providing a range of financial services, advice, information and guidance.The successful applicant will actively assist the Strategic Finance Manager and Senior Accountants in providing financial information and advice relating to all aspects of budget planning, preparation and monitoring through to the completion of final accountsand government returns. Candidates will need to demonstrate experience of working to strict deadlines and a commitment to improving standards through continuous improvement and staff development. Other key responsibilities will include supporting the SeniorAccountants in developing financial information in response to user needs, government legislation, developing links between performance and financial information, and supporting the efficiency agenda.Candidates should preferably be CCAB fully qualified accountants, or AAT qualified with minimum 2 years post qualification experience, with experience of successfully providing the full range of accounting services in a public or private sector environment.
