We believe in our food, and we know that our people behind the scenes are so very important in our success.A well fed team forms an essential part of our depot, and with this in mind our Canteen Assistant will ensuring all Canteen, Vending, Cleaning and Recordkeeping tasks are completed in an accurate and timely manner, to a high standard within agreed H&S andFood Hygiene parameters -to ensure our depot snack provision is suitable and sustainable.Daily duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Daily table sanitation and maintaining a clean and hygienic canteen area
  • General hygiene maintenance of all vending machinery within the canteen
  • Refill of the vending machines in accordance with BFH standards to include handling and labelling such as day dots etc.
  • Maintaining records on a daily basis in accordance with Environmental Health & HSE guidelines
  • Completion of the cleaning rota
  • Prep and packaging of food items to be sold in the vending machine
  • Completing order forms for stock ordering as required
  • Stock rotation and disposal where necessary (via W/H contact)
  • Merchandising of the contents of the vending machines
Occasional duties will include:
  • Meeting Refreshment Preparation - Tea and Coffee Urns / Biscuits / Milk / Sugar / Sweetener
  • Stocking up the meeting room fridge
We need you to have a key mix of skills and be able to deploy them effectively when required and in accordance with changing business demands.The successful candidate is required to hold a current Basic Food Hygiene Certificate as a minimum and have previous food handling experience. Copies of this will be required at Interview stage and will be securely disposed of in accordance with GDPR ifthe applicant is unsuccessful in their application.The Successful candidate will also have the right to live and work in the UK and will be able to provide all the required documentation prior to any start date being offered and completed.CoVID 19 awareness and Health and Safety training relative to the site will be given as part of the induction process.RemunerationThe starting salary for this role will be disclosed at interview and paid monthly with 25 days leave plus bank holidays (pro rata) per annum.About YouYoull be a self-motivated team player, used to working in a busy and challenging environment.
