Job Description

Compliance Risk Analyst - FTC (4 months - August start)Newport, South WalesEstablished in 1996 to provide flexible and accessible finance to Small and Medium sized businesses, our client has since grown to become one of the UKs largest finance houses. They are looking for a Compliance Risk Analyst to support over a busy transitionperiod of approx. 4 months. This role is based in the head office in Newport and will be working in the office 5 days for the first 2 weeks but then just 2 days per week on a Mon and Wed.Putting customers at the heart of everything they do, our client is on the lookout for people with a passion for people: An open ear, a kind word, and empathy, to continue differentiating them from their competitors.As a Compliance Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking general compliance and fraud prevention monitoring, evaluate the data to identify problem areas and report on the findings to senior management.
  • Provide support and guidance to the business on compliance related matters.
  • Work as part of a team and complete tasks accurately and on-time whilst ensuring that all company data is recorded accurately in our various in-house systems
  • Engage in on-the-job learning to build an understanding of applicable laws, regulations, rules, and standards.
  • Assist the Department Head or Compliance & Fraud Manager with other tasks as required
The successful Compliance Risk Analyst will:
  • Be curious and analytical to flag any issues to their line manager.
  • Have worked in a similar role within compliance and risk ideally
  • Have strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Have strong organisational skills
  • Be able to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines.
  • Be a team player and demonstrate co-operation and flexibility
  • Work effectively on own initiative and manage conflicting priorities throughout the day and work schedules.
  • Be a good problem solver and a confident communicator
  • IT literate - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
