Job Description

Our client specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke fine fitted furniture and architectural joinery with commissions from some of England’s finest period homes as well as grand buildings of architectural significance abroad.The creation of the Lead Interior Designer role reflects an increasing demand from clients for the company to take control of the whole look and feel of a room or house. Interior design services is an area of growth within the company so there is plentyof potential to progress your career here.They are looking for an experienced and driven leader ambitious to maximise the commercial and creative potential of this area of the business. The role will involve managing the interior design function. It will be client facing and an appreciation of historicinteriors is vital as this knowledge can help inform the approach to the clients brief.Skills and Experience sought from the Lead Interior Designer:

  • 10 years interior design experience
  • A full understanding of project processes from concept, design development through to site implementation
  • Project management experience
  • Experience in interior architectural space planning of room layouts as well as fitted and freestanding furniture
  • An understanding of modern and traditional building techniques and practices
  • Knowledge, appreciation and experience of sourcing fine quality antique furniture, textiles, lighting and artwork and FF & E more generally
  • Experience in collaborating with other artisans such as stone masons, fibrous plaster specialists, upholsterers, decorative painters, metal workers etc.
  • AutoCAD skills with excellent knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft Office, and SketchUp
Salary and Benefits package:This is a full-time role with hybrid working available and will involve travel at home and abroad.In return there is a competitive salary which can be discussed with the recruiter before proceeding, 24 days holiday + bank holidays (holiday entitlement increases with years of service), company pension, social events, cycle to work scheme and on-site parking.
