About the jobJob summaryIt is an exciting time for our client as they continue on a major transformation programme. Their ambition is to become the worlds leading land registry for speed, simplicity and an open approach to data.Theyre looking for a great candidate with good attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team to join their Technology and Digital Services (T&Ds) directorate as a Central Print Operative to help them achieve this.Job descriptionThe Central Print Operation produces around 3,000 documents per day and despatches them via their 3rd Party Suppliers. It is also responsible for despatching large plans (up to A0) and producing ad-hoc jobs such as; posters and printing from LR specificapplications.As a Central Print Operative, you will produce the daily output from the Central Print Operation by operating and maintaining the Printers and Envelopers and undertake the full range of print and despatch room production tasks using manual and machine assistedmethods.In addition, you will perform regular maintenance on print and despatch room machinery, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained to safe operating levels and carry out regular quality checks during print and despatch production operations and makeadjustments to machine settings accordingly.Person specificationTo meet the requirements of this role, you will already have some experience of working in a print room environment and can work effectively as part of a team. You will have good attention to detail and can work under pressure whilst adhering to tight productiondeadlines.You will have well developed interpersonal skills and can work using own initiative. The ability to produce accurate production statistics is essential as part of this role.Please note, the location of this role may change mid way throughout the contract. Presently, its based at Langage Industrial Estate in Plymouth but is likely to move to Seaton Court, 2 William Prance Rd, Plymouth PL6 5WS within the first six monthsof the year.
