Job Description

Role: Payroll Administrator Location: Blackburn Hours: Full-Time / Permanent Salary: £26k - £27k + Bonus Are you an experienced Payroll Administrator looking for your next career move Join our client, a leading retail business in Blackburn, and play a crucial role in their payroll team. Your meticulous attention to detail and dedication to accuracy will ensurethe smooth operation of their payroll department. Your Responsibilities: • Prepare, process, and administer monthly payroll. • Be the primary point of contact for employees and line managers regarding payroll matters. • Handle onboarding for new employees, manage leavers, transfers, amendments, and pensions. • Process court orders and statutory payments, including maternity, paternity, parental leave, and SSP. • Oversee the time and attendance system. • Review approved hours to ensure payment accuracy. • Manage new employee setups and handle employee changes in the timekeeping system. • Verify payslips and reports during payroll validation, promptly addressing discrepancies. • Assist management with any ad-hoc duties as needed. Requirements: • A minimum of 1-year prior payroll experience. • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
