Job Description

Commercial panel beater main duties are to carry out accident damage and repairs on damaged vehicles which include demount boxes, semi-trailers, HGV & LCV vehicles, fibre glass bodiesClient DetailsEstablished for over 50 years, my client is one of the UKs leading supplier in furniture and bespoke office equipmentThrough their brands, they offer a great deal of choice for Corporate, Hospitality & Leisure, Education & Training, Government and HealthcareDescriptionThe key responsibilities for this role will be is:

  • Ensure all vehicles are repaired to company O-Licence and DVSA standards working alone to carry out the following tasks:
  • Demount body inspections and repairs to demount boxes.
  • Repair damaged body work on semi-trailers.
  • Company Car repair work.
  • Adhere to company H&S policies, understanding the risks when working with all company vehicles.
  • Complete all jobs following company policies and procedures, providing the necessary documentation for the Garage Manager.
  • Ensure work areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
ProfileThe ideal candidate will have experience in the following:
  • Previous experience in a similar mechanical engineering role.
  • An industry recognised qualification in motor vehicle engineering (i.e., City and Guilds or NVQ equivalent) would be preferable.
  • Experience working on HGVs.
  • Experience of working on cars or vans (Advantageous).
  • Strong knowledge of body repairs and fabrication work.
  • HGV Licence would be preferable.
  • Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
