As a Barclays Lead Network Connectivity Engineer, you will supply quality network operational support and skills to Barclays business and technical areas as a member of the EMEA Network support team. This is an exciting opportunity working across multi- sites, supporting global networking environments to identify, determine and resolve issues. The team is responsible for various functions such as service management, product engineering, automation and tools. You will work with other teams to provide sustainableenterprise scale solutions. What will you be doing Identifying possible network affecting situations, faulty hardware or logical problems Assessing the network, via the use of knowledge and available tools identify, and resolve faults You will assess any existing network device and review / amend as required in a controlled manner Taking key decisions in respect of the impact of any fault or change on users and existing infrastructure Ensuring all tasks are recorded and completed in a professional and structured manner and all company process and procedures are followed Liaising with other technology, business areas and 3rd party vendors in pursuit of resolving the problem or communicating progress What were looking for: Experience of Network Operational Support within a large institution or Bank with understanding of Network Virtualisation, Cloud and Automation Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex network related issues Extensive knowledge and experience of LAN and WAN technologies / protocols (Cisco ACI, IOS, NX-OS, SD-WAN, BGP, OSPF) Good working knowledge of Remote Access technologies, such as Cisco AnyConnect, Zscaler, Aruba and Citrix, of TCP/IP and be able to diagnose problems based on packet analysis Skills that will help you in the role: CCIE certification or working towards Working knowledge of scripting language (Python, Ansible) Experience of working within a large multi-site Experience with MPLS, Multicast, QoS, Wireless Where will you be workingYou will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford.
