But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve; being able to do something today that they couldnt do last week because ofyou.We are looking for an individual with experience of having worked in a neurobehavioral rehabilitation setting, ideally with a background of training who can help to lead and develop a team of support workers in providing care and treatment in this specialistarea.With a clear understanding of neurobehavioral principles you will be able to offer guidance and supervision to members of the team to ensure a consistent approach is delivered in order to bring about positive outcomes.You will also be responsible for taking a lead in the delivery of core training which will include the therapeutic management of violence and aggression. This will be underpinned with a problem-solving approach to situations that arise on the ward on a day-to-daybasis. You will work closely with other members of the trans-disciplinary team to create and sustain the therapeutic milieu that forms the foundation of the programme within the service.The successful candidate will have a focus on using the least restrictive approaches at all times and demonstrate empathy with a challenging client group. They will be a good communicator both with the clients and their families. They will also be a teamplayer and a positive role model to colleagues.The shift patterns include working nights and weekends,12.5 hours a day, 3-4 days a week.Where you will be workingLocation: Pathfelds Lodge 290 Station Road, Knuston, Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, NN29 7EYJoin the team at Pathfields Lodge in providing supportive and therapeutic care for adults with a physical disability, brain injury, neurological condition or learning disability. Within this specialist care home, the 24-hour on-site nursing team also supportsindividuals with additional physical health conditions.Pathfields is a homely and welcoming environment with several communal areas for socialising as well as a large garden. Service users are actively encouraged to take part in a variety of activity programmes, which are aimed to increase independence in undertakingeveryday tasks such as shopping, gardening, and budgeting.What you will get
