Job Description

Here at MJ Quinn we currently have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior HSQE Manager to join the business. This position will be based in our Head Office in Knowsley, Liverpool, working Monday - Friday 8am-5pm.MJ Quinn are an established national organisation, with contracts covering the length and breadth of the UK and Ireland. We continue to innovate and strive to excel in everythingwe do, holding ourselves accountable in every eventuality.As the Senior HSQE Manager you will be overseeing the HSQE Advisors working across Wales, providing support to deliver and embed the HSQE Vision, Strategy and Action Plan within agreed business workstream.Responsibilities of the role:

  • Drive a positive HSQE culture through coaching, supporting and working with operations and support services to promote the reporting of accidents, incidents, Improve its and the undertaking of HSQE inspections
  • Promote and support the requirements of the HSQE Management System, ensuring compliance with company procedures and external Customer standards
  • Manage the preparation and undertaking of HSQE audit, Inspections, safety critical equipment, PPE and calibrations for Company related activities by the HSQE Officers, and where necessarily prepare and undertake these personally
  • Complete and distribute relevant HSQE audit, Inspections, safety critical equipment, PPE and calibrations reports, supporting the suitable close out of Nonconformance records (NCR) arising
  • Management of supplier and sub-contractor performance via inspection, audit, incidents management and engagement sessions
  • Management of accidents, incidents and Improve its on the Company incident reporting system, ensuring all information is completed, RCA undertaken, actions attributed and closed out in an effective manner
  • Deliver internal awareness briefings and stand downs (e.g. Inductions, safety manual, toolbox talks etc.)
  • Maintain and review project safe systems of work and appertaining risk assessments
  • Demonstrate continuous improvement in HSQE performance within operational workstream
  • Set objectives and targets to the team consistent with the aims of the HSQE policies.
  • Be able to communicate and use interpersonal skill at all levels of the organisation to establish a positive behavioural safety culture
  • Be capable of interpreting the law in context to the company undertakings.
  • Champion HSQE throughout all areas of the companys operations.
Desirables:
  • Experience working with SHE Assure
  • Strong experience working conducting accident investigations
  • Experience working with Sub-Contractors
  • NEBOSH Diploma (Essential)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience within a similar role (Essential)
