Job Description

Director of Operations.Highly competitive salary and benefits package.4c Executive is representing a leading bio-manufacturing company focused on producing Omega-3 oil using sustainable and all natural resources. Our client is the largest manufacturer of vegan friendly Omega-3 and DHA (an Omega-3 fatty acid) in Europe havingreceived FSSC22000 certification as well as EU Novel food and FDA approvals to commercialise their products within the UK, EU, and US.Having recently completed a comprehensive R&D phase, our client is ready to embark upon an exciting stage of growth and are seeking to appoint a Director of Operations who will be responsible for leading and managing all day-to-day operations relating tomanufacturing, instilling a mindset of manufacturing excellence throughout the company. With the objective of creating standardised processes which will enable the organisation to scale up production, the role holder will also be responsible for championingand embedding a culture of continuous improvement to drive efficiency and effectiveness, optimising the different stages of their fermentation process.The successful candidate will have significant experience in a senior manufacturing operations role with responsibility for leading and developing a high performing team, enabling team members to further develop skills in root cause analysis and proactiveproblem solving. They will also have:

  • Successful track record in planning, executing, and improving work processes, implementing continuous improvement methodologies to achieve productivity improvement and manufacturing cost control whilst driving sustainability throughout a manufacturing line.
  • Proven track record of creating and embedding team and individual KPIs, clearly communicating expectations to the wider team coupled with the ability of tracking performance against agreed metrics, reporting on progress achieved ensuring agreed objectivesare met.
  • Successful track record of leading and delivering capital project executions ensuring projects adhere to agreed costs.
  • Strong project management experience with a proven track record of successfully planning and monitoring manufacturing and operations projects gaining buy in from multiple stakeholders and tracking progress against agreed metrics.
