Job Description

Liberty is a specialist heating services provider to public, domestic and commercial clients across the UK. Established in 1969, it offers professional gas installation, maintenance and servicing, as well as energy solutions, electrical installations andproperty building and maintenance services.We are looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer, to work in the North West area. This role will mainly involve the service, maintenance and breakdown of commercial gas and heating systems with install work sometimes required too. The rightperson for this role will have a solid background in Commercial gas and heating as well as all relevant commercial gas qualifications.Key responsibilities for this Commercial Gas Engineer role are:Carry out planned and reactive maintenance in accordance with the companys PPM and task schedulesUndertake PPM activity in a quality, professional mannerCompletion of all relevant paperwork to include the production of technical and situational reports as requiredWork to operational procedures, safe working practices and H&S proceduresReporting of all accidents, near miss events or potential hazardsUndertake all other maintenance works within remitParticipate in out of hours works, including overtime, call out, etc.Work flexibly with a diverse range of customers ensuring customer satisfaction and safetyFollow any other reasonable request from managementExperience and Qualifications:Recognised formal training attaining the relevant craft qualification, NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalentA minimum of: CODNCO1, COCN1, ICPN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, TPCP1, TCP1A, CCN1, CENWAT and applicable domestic qualificationsOFTEC, LPG, ASHP, UNVENTED and Solar/Renewable qualifications are desirable but not essentialExcellent gas knowledge of current gas legislation and regulationsLocal authority/ social housing experience with knowledge of a variety of Commercial/Domestic appliances and installationsPossess comprehensive technical skills along with extensive experience in commercial fault finding and rectificationComprehensive knowledge, both domestic and commercial of most major manufactures i.e. Valliant Powermatic, Riello, Broag, Combat, Ambi-Rad, Ideal, Potterton, Nu Way and Worcester etc.Good all-round knowledge of heating systems with controls/BMS knowledge desirableGood plumbing skillsFull clean driving licenseUnderstanding of Health and Safety and working to best practiceAbility to manage own time and workloadExperience of working with the public, demonstrating excellent customer serviceFlexibilityWe offer a range of benefits for a rewarding career including though not limited to: Pension scheme Discounted gym memberships Discounts and savings on travel, hotels, shopping, holidays and restaurants Cycle to Work scheme Life Insurance Smart Health (including round the clock access to 24/7 UK-based GPs) Health Shield PlanIn addition to the above, at Liberty we look to invest in the up-skilling and development of our employees, ensuring competency and compliance to industry standards on both health and safety and ensuring all of our engineers are qualified to the higheststandard with a view to enhance your technical skills by offering additional training to give you the skills you need to deliver the service required.Liberty is committed to achieving equal opportunities in employment.If you have the desire to work in a busy high performing team then please apply.Closing date: 15th July 2021 (we reserve the right to close this vacancy earlier depending on number of applications).
