Job Description

AD HOC CLASS 1 DRIVERS Location: Knowsley Job type: Part TimeYoull be working on behalf ofMenzies Distribution Limitedand its customers, providing a first class service with our team in Knowsley. Plese note that this position is being offer on a part time basis, covering 1 or 2 days or nights.HGV DRIVER DUTIES

  • Planning delivery schedules and routes with transport manager
  • Supervising and helping to load and unload goods
  • Ensure the vehicle is loaded and unloaded safely and within the legislation
  • Following traffic reports and changing your route if necessary
  • Safeguard the security of the vehicle and goods contained during transit to the customer
  • Completing delivery paperwork and logbooks
  • Refuel and clean vehicle
HGV DRIVER REQUIREMENTS
  1. A valid Category C (class 2) andC+E (class1)Drivers Licence with a maximum of 6 points, for insurance purposes
  2. A valid digital tacho card and CPC card
  3. No previous disqualifications NI, DD or DR
  4. A detailed understanding of the rules and regulation around drivers hours
  5. Physically fit to meet the demands of a multi-drop driving role
  6. Hardworking, positive and a flexible attitude to work
  7. Undergo a background check and drug/alcohol test if successful
