Job Description

Strategic Planning and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Manager required in Knaresborough, near Leeds. Hybrid working. Salary Excellent - negotiable.Our client is a private equity backed multi-national business with revenues of ~200m. The group is made up of 19 trading entities, based in 10 countries. The company focuses on environment improvement products, manufacturing and distributing to a diverse rangeof customers across the globe (~180 countries).You will lead the FPA function in an exciting time as they roll out new software and processes to meet the information requirements of a growing complex group of companies.The role will specifically include, but is not limited to;Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Lead annual budgeting cycles, and reforecasts
  • Lead long-term strategic plans
  • Monthly ownership of the re-forecasting process
Project Management
  • Adopt the recently implemented VENA FPA tool and sponsor its group wide roll-out
  • Lead the group wide management information project, which involves consolidating data across 14 ERP systems to deliver KPIs and metrics to ~120 managers in the group
  • M&A integration as required (PMIPost Merger Integrations)
KPI reporting
  • Consolidation and review of weekly KPI reporting
Analysis
  • Maintain an understanding of what drives profitability across the group
  • Adhoc analysis as required to support GLT (Global Leadership Team) and PE owners in decision making
Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Maintain Global M&A pipeline
  • Nurture relationships with targets and advisors
  • Project Manager active deal making including; valuations, due diligence, deal structure, and post-merger integration planning
Other
  • Evaluation, and providing financial insight, to strategic capex and investment initiatives around the group
  • Analysis into profit drivers and investment decision as required
  • Support the Group Financial Controller in maintaining accurate and timely accounts
Strategic Planning and M&A Manager requirements:To succeed in this role you will be able to demonstrate a successful history of working in a fast-paced working environment, with knowledge to allow you to fulfil the demands of this role.
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
  • Accounting experience background
  • FPA and/or M&A experience is highly desirable
  • Be able to work in a confident and professional manner
  • Have the ability to work productively and flexibly under pressure to meet tight deadlines, especially those at month end.
  • Have strong communication skills in order to work alongside stakeholders at all levels of the company (shop-floor to CEO)
  • Be a self-starter who wishes to take ownership of the role and can suggest areas of development to create greater efficiencies within the role.
  • Work well within a team as well independently.
