Job Description

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic addition to theirfinance team working from the offices in Knaresborough.You would be responsible for managing the sales ledger function of the business, working closely to deliver an accurate and efficient creditcontrol service. As well as assisting with other administrative duties within the team. This role requires building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to ensure the smooth running of accounts.The day-to-day duties of the Credit Controller are varied and include managing the amounts due from customers, ensuring timely payments are made, processing incoming funds, reconciling invoices, resolving account queries, and managing debt recovery.In this position you will be involved in evaluating new credit requests, including checking credit ratings, and advising on credit limits. The Credit Controller is a key figure in supporting the financial & sales function.Key responsibilities:

  • Taking a proactive role in managing and collecting amounts due from customers & building relationships with theirclients
  • Evaluating new credit requests and reviewing customers credit rankings
  • Setting up of terms and conditions of credit
  • Ensuring timely payment of debts
  • Following up payments as needed
  • Negotiating payment plans where necessary
  • Responding to relevant client enquiries
  • Processing and reconciliation of invoices and credit notes
  • Managing sales ledger
  • Providing administrative support to the team, along with other finance tasks
  • Bank reconciliation
The Ideal Candidate:

  • Ability to maintain strong relationships with external clients and internal colleagues
  • Professional, confident, and diplomatic when liaising with others

The working week is Monday - Friday, 9am - 5.30pm.
