Elevation Engineering and Manufacturing have a fantastic opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join an industry leading manufacturer in North Yorkshire.Working alongside a fast growing engineering team, you will be primarily responsible for providing technical engineering expertise, planning and implementing Continuous Improvement projects across the site, reviewing production processes and supporting variousteams cross functionally.The Manufacturing Engineers duties and responsibilities will include:- Drive line optimisation, timings, bottleneck studies, and maintain/improve drawings specifications and procedures- Supporting technical documentation (SOPs, BOMSs, Work Instructions and more)- Liaise with Head of Engineering, Process Engineering Management, Production Management, and shop floor supervisors to support day to day production whilst driving out waste and quality defects- Lead a drive a continuous improvement culture and develop internally as part of the engineering team in this function- Review and improve manufacturing processes utilising tools such as value stream mapping- Ensuring full compliance with all Health & Safety / Quality site requirements- Develop effective relationships that enable the influence of new product development to be designed for manufacture, maintain the ethos of a right first time culture- Provide cross functional Engineering expertise and continue to grow and develop your own skill set in line with internal training and company goalsWe are very keen to speak to you if you have the following skills and experience:- Proven experience in a Production Engineering position (2+ years desired)- B.Eng, HND/HNC or similar in Manufacturing, Process Engineering or similar (Desired)- Understanding of Lean/Six Sigma techniques- Great computer skills with a good knowledge of CAD and Excel- Experienced working as part of a team in projects of medium scaleElevation Engineering & Manufacturing is a specialist recruitment consultancy dealing with engineering, technical and operational positions in Yorkshire and the surrounding regions.
