Job Description

Financial Planning Analyst required in Knaresborough, near Leeds. Hybrid working. Salary Excellent - negotiable. 6-12 month maternity contract.Our client is a private equity backed multi-national business with revenues of ~200m. The group is made up of 19 trading entities, based in 10 countries. The company focuses on environment improvement products, manufacturing and distributing to a diverse rangeof customers across the globe (~180 countries).This role provides an opportunity to play a key role within a fast-paced Finance team, working for a global PE backed business to support in professionalism the finance function and improving management information.You will support the FPA function in an exciting time as the company rolls out new software and processes to meet the information requirements of a growing complex group of companies.The role will specific include, but is not limited to;Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Input to the 2024 budgeting process
  • 2023 6+6 re-forecast
  • Monthly ownership of the re-forecasting process
Project Management
  • Implementation of a new financial tool to enable smoother consolidation of management accounts, and increase analysis
  • Input to the group wide management information project, which involves consolidating data across 14 ERP systems to deliver KPIs and metrics to ~120 managers in the group
KPI reporting
  • Consolidation and review of weekly KPI reporting
Other
  • Evaluation, and providing financial insight, to strategic capex and investment initiatives around the group
  • Analysis into profit drivers and investment decision as required
  • Input to M&A processes including; evaluation, due-diligence and PMI (post-merger integration) planning
To succeed in this role you will be able to demonstrate a successful history of working in a fast-paced working environment, with knowledge to allow you to fulfil the demands of this role.You must:
  • Part or recently qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
  • Accounting experience, but looking for a more analytical role
  • Be able to work in a confident and professional manner
  • Have the ability to work productively and flexibly under pressure to meet tight deadlines, especially those at month end.
  • Have strong communication skills in order to work alongside stakeholders at all levels of the company (shop-floor to CEO)
  • Be a self-starter who wishes to take ownership of the role and can suggest areas of development to create greater efficiencies within the role.
  • Work well within a team as well independently.
  • Experience of working with large complicated data sets to understand the primary drivers.
