Job Description

Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently working in partnership with a well-known business based in the Knaresborough area as they look to bring on-board an experienced Accounts Assistant to their growing team!The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years’ experience working within a busy finance function providing support across a variety of tasks including purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control and finance admin duties such as petty cash management,expenses and supporting the wider team.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is very keen to progress quickly within an ever-growing company, with full study support to help along the way. You will report directly to the Financial Manager, and hold responsibility for;

  • Reviewing and posting all Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger invoices
  • Chasing and securing overdue payments
  • First point of contact for customer invoice queries / supplier queries
  • Setting up credit checks / client onboarding
  • Regular review of client credit facilities
  • Entering daily bank transactions
  • Reconciling bank accounts daily
  • Processing of daily / weekly bookkeeping routines (such as Credit Cards)
  • Contributing to the month end process
Person specification;
  • Experience working within a busy finance function
  • Ability to work well towards strict deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Educated to GCSE level A-C Maths & English
  • Strong systems skills including Excel (SAGE would be beneficial but not essential)
