Job Description

Would you love to work for an organisation at the heart of environmental preservation Are you a qualified barrister or solicitor Have you already got inhouse experience and now looking for a new challenge If yes, this could be a brilliant opportunity for you!Robertson Bell are once again proud to be partnering for this world renowned and leading charity whilst they recruit for a permanent Deputy Head of Legal and Compliance. This full-time position based out of the organisations head office is near Guildford and comes with excellent employee benefits. Reporting into the Director of Legal and Compliance your duties would include:

  • Offer accurate and timely legal advice to the wider organisation which include value for money solutions.
  • Be responsible for creating drafts of commercial documents and contracts.
  • Work closely with fundraisers, partners, donors and central services.
  • Draft legal agreements which include policies and guidance notes.
  • Roll out training to the organisation on legal matters.
  • Ensure you are up to date with any regulatory and legal changes.
  • Work closely with the compliance and legal team on ad hoc reporting.
    • This Deputy Head of Legal and Compliance is a great opportunity for someone with recent inhouse legal experience or someone looking to make the move to an inhouse team. If you have a passion for the environment and would love to work in the charity sector this could be your ideal role!This successful candidate will have:
  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • A Solicitors qualification.
  • Varied experience with commercial law and fundraising/charity law.
  • Excellent communication skills.
