We are currently recruiting a Clinical or Forensic Psychologist to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Woking in Surrey.Cygnet Hospital Woking is a CQC rated ‘Good’ service that offers a range of secure mental health services for men and women. Cygnet Lodge Woking, our sister hospital close by, provides a high dependency inpatient rehabilitation service for men and extends our care pathway.The Opportunity…The post-holder will work closely with the Head of Psychology and have a key role in providing highly specialist psychological assessments, interpretation from psychological tests, semi-structured interviews, individual and group therapy. You will also consider potential risks and social needs of the client group, relevant to their diagnosis.You will provide a high quality psychology service to a range of clients on Picasso Ward - a 21 bed high dependency inpatient mental health rehabilitation unit for females. The service is delivered in a purpose-built therapeutic environment, where the focus is on maximising positive outcomes and recovery.This role will be working as part of an established interdisciplinary team comprising of; a Consultant Psychiatrist, a Specialty Doctor, an Occupational Therapist, Nurses and Health Care Support Workers. You will be expected to offer psychological insight and knowledge around the clinical area and provide consultation about the psychological care of the client group to staff, families and other agencies.As a HCPC Registered Psychologist, you will have a key role in the training and clinical supervision of Assistant Psychologists, Volunteers and Psychology Trainees/Students on site.
