Job Description

Woodlands looks after up to4 young people agedbetween 10-17 years old on admission and provides a safe and nurturing environment for young people who have experienced challenging and traumatic life events. Woodlands offers you the opportunity to join a dedicated and energetic team that provides the best possible quality of personalised care for young people that meets each child’s needs and promotes their welfare.Through the process of building meaningful relationships with both the young people and staff; you will be part of a team that provides warmth, nurture and care for some of Surrey’s most vulnerable children. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires compassion, understanding, playfulness, and humour.Woodlands will also give you the opportunity to work with a wider network of professionals in achieving 24-hour, child centred care and support for our young people and their families. For these Residential Worker posts you will need to aspire to ‘make a difference’ and have a commitment to practice in a restorative way.PLEASE NOTE: Staff must either achieve or currently hold a Level 3 Social Care qualification or above / or be committed to complete samewithin 2 years of start date.Woodlandscan accommodate young people up to eighteen years of age; the legal requirement set out by the DFE requires that all staff need to be at least four years older than the oldest accommodated young person; therefore the minimum age for application for this position needs to be twenty-two years.For more information, please find the full job description attached below.
