Job Description

Warehouse ManagerKingswinfordSalary £30k+ -Commensurate with experiencePermanentImmediate start AvailableOur client, a leading manufacturing and distribution company, has just completed a fantastic year of growth and are therefore seeking a Warehouse Manager. This is a great opportunity for someone to utilise their skills and experience and make the positiontheir own and contribute to their continued success and build a cohesive team around you!The Warehouse Manager will coordinate the activities and operations of the distribution warehouses.Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manages all warehouse inventory and maintains database on receipt of goods transfers from manufacturing facility.
  • Coordinates and schedules the movement of products throughout the warehouses including correct storage and segregation to maximise storage facility and efficient shipment of finished products.
  • Implements daily production and shipping plan, arranging for excess stock to be stored in warehouse. Planning and organisation of over-all warehouse operations.
  • Manages daily flow of finished products by modifying storage space assignments.
  • Confirms availability of items to be shipped by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items.
  • Identifies and reports slow-moving product and with approval, arranges for the removal of the product.
  • Manual stock checks and date checks of warehouse inventory.
  • Directs forklift drivers to store goods in identified areas and load goods on vehicles to be transported.
  • Enforcing health standards, safety and security procedures
  • Enforcing company rules and regulations
  • Managing staff, building teams, training employees and monitoring production performance
  • Manually handles, repacks, or re-stack pallets of finished product as needed.
  • Operates forklift truck as needed.
  • Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports.
  • Performs other related duties as directed.
  • Closely working with the General Manager and the senior management to use your acquired skills to further develop, strengthen, and build a cohesive team around you.
  • Introduce standard KPIs.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be computer literate and have good knowledge of Microsoft office tools. (Sage 200 experience preferable but not critical)
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.
  • Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
  • Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.
  • Must have proactive nature, the ability to work efficiently and with initiative without supervision
  • Must have a clear understanding of Health & Safety
  • Able to plan and prioritise workload accordingly
  • Good administrative and customer service skills
Education and Experience:
  • Diploma (A level) or equivalent required.
  • Valid vehicle operators license for forklift truck required.
  • Similar Warehouse experience.
  • Management/Supervisor experience.
