Job Description

Mechanical Design Engineer required. My client is a leading supplier of combustion and casting equipment globally. They are looking to bring onboard an experienced Design Engineer to provide Design calculations, CFD / FEA and Design drawings.The ideal candidate will come from a Mechanical Design background, have experience with Casting / Combustion equipment and will be based locally to Kingswinford.Mechanical Design Engineer Position Overview

  • Production of detailed design drawings and calculations
  • Producing design deliverables including, but not limited to, P&IDs, hydraulic calculations, combustion calculations, pneumatic calculations, structural design calculations, Mechanical GAs and layouts
  • Completing Designs using Autodesk Inventor/AutoCAD
  • Design calculations using Excel
  • Use of CFD/FEA to develop and validate design work
  • Selection of suitable components to allow accurate estimating
  • Working collaboratively with other design departments
  • Maintaining design input throughout the project lifecycle- from the feasibility stage, to outline and detail design, through to construction and handover
  • Ensuring compliance with design specifications and standards
Mechanical Design Engineer Position Requirements
  • 10 years previous experience in a Design focused role
  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience Designing capital equipment
  • Previous experience with AutoCAD & Autodesk Inventor
  • Experience designing Combustion equipment would be advantageous
  • Based within a commutable distance of Kingswinford
  • Full Driving licence
Mechanical Design Engineer Position Remuneration
  • Salary £40,000 - £45,000 DOE
  • 8:00 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday, 8:00 - 13:00 Friday
  • 28 days holiday
  • Private Medical cover
