Job Description

A leading business that supplies specialist components to the automotive industry is on the up and is looking for a Logistics Manager to manage their Logistics/transport, stores, and shipping functions. The facility is well run and has been heavily investedin to turn it into a state-of-the-art facility as their Logistics Manager, some of your main duties will be:

  • Oversee all of the companys inbound materials, components and ensure that all finished products are dispatched accurately and efficiently
  • Lead the shipping team to export product globally
  • Ensure that the team meet all of the business measurements and objectives to enable the business to supply its product On Time In Full
  • Responsibility over the team budget and always striving to deliver an efficient operation
  • Always ensure the highest levels of Health and Safety on site
To be their Logistics Manager you should have the following experience:
  • To have worked as a Logistics Manager/ Warehouse Manager/Supply Chain Manager within a manufacturing industry, ideally within the automotive sector
  • Practical understanding of import and export globally, including the relevant paperwork required for each product for each country
  • To have an analytical mindset with the ability to use data to improve all areas of the department
  • The ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Overall, you shall be an all-rounder who has the ability to lead and motivate a team to deliver work to the highest possible standards.
Candidates suitable for this role are already likely to hold the job title of Logistics Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Warehouse Manager.This is a permanent vacancy paying around £40k per annum.
