Job Description

Robert Walters Group: Assistant Financial Controller - £30,000 to £35,000 - Full time - Permanent - Office Working - DudleyRobert Walters Group has partnered with a leading business based in Dudley in their recruitment of an Assistant Financial Controller. This is a great opportunity for any experienced Part-Qualified Management Accountants looking to further their skills ina established company.Key responsibilities of the Assistant Financial Controller:

  • To provide key support to the Financial Controller
  • Monthly reconciliation of all account balances within the finance and ERP systems
  • To prepare, and deliver timely, complete, and accurate Management Information for the Company on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Assist with the production of annual budgets
  • To prepare monthly management accounts for the UK Company & different division
  • Contribute to the preparation of the monthly Finance board pack
  • To assist the Financial Controller to maintain and update the rolling 26-week cash forecast for the different sites and report to the directors and investors
  • Update and maintain relevant KPIs for both financial and non-financial measures
  • To complete variance analysis monthly and report on key areas
  • Asist with working capital management, to optimise the companys cash position
  • Upload invoices & credits to invoice finance
  • Complete invoice finance reconciliations to the sales ledger
  • To have a pivotal role during the year end audit process and to maintain a productive working relationship with the Companys auditors
  • Assist with preparing the statutory accounts for all Group companies
About you as the Assistant Financial Controller:
  • Minimum of AAT Level 4 qualified
  • Strong work ethic and communication skills
  • Excellent time management
  • Producing Management Accounts - 3 years (Essential)
  • Experience of working for a private equity backed company - 2 years (Preferred)
  • Supervising accounts assistants (Preferred)
  • Strong Excel skills and other Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint and Word
  • Excellent analytical skills. Ability to analyse, evaluate and recommend
