We also offer a complete maintenance, refurbishment service for valves, actuators and penstocks.We recognize that by working with our customers, partners, employees, and other stakeholders, we can manage the social and environmental impacts of our business whilst making a greater contribution to a sustainable future.A&L are a widely recognized brand, considered to be a competitive, innovative, go-to Contractor for a wide range of reactive or planned M&E works.M&E Co-ordinator - The Role:As the Installation Team Leader (MEICA) you will be responsible for delivering quality and service in a safe and efficient manner. You will be aware of the Technical Specifications and Methodology aspects of the MEICA construction activities carried outby the Company and for the progress and quality control of Construction Activities.Tasks and Responsibilities:• Monitor and lead the operational teams and any subcontractors to ensure that all construction activities are carried out safely and in accordance with Company HSEQ and Technical requirements.• Ensure that the work is carried out on schedule and to the specified quality requirements.• Be aware of safety and quality issues and report any relevant H&S or quality matters and ensuring these are promptly followed up.• Ensure that appropriate safety procedures are implemented during the execution of the work.• Deliver toolbox talks relating to construction activities carried out by your team or subcontractors.• Support the Project Engineer on all matters including H&S, Technical issues and Specification as and when required.• Ensure that all plant and materials are in accordance with the specifications.• Implement and enforce the Company Quality Assurance Procedures• Ensure that all construction activities are suitably understood by the site team• Liaise with the client and/or main contractor where necessary• Report progress on the activities of programmes and inform the Project Engineer of any potential slippages• Liaise closely with all site teams on a day-to-day basis if required• Coach and Maintain standards and development of team members • Assist with workloads, set priorities, and resolve conflict.• Build & maintain solid trusting client & customer relations and meet client expectations• Deliver Company Values, motivate and lead by example and help others.M&E Co-ordinator - Candidate Requirements:• Experience of MEICA installations covering a wide variety of Plant and Equipment mainly within the Water Industry• Have an understanding of valves, components and support systems related to pipeline installations.• You should be familiar with Pumps and Drive Motor Removal & Installation.• Capable of problem solving, site repairs and installations at customer sites.• Water nd Wastewater Treatment Plant Projects (desirable not essential)• Reservoir Tower Refurbishment (desirable not essential)• Valve & Penstock Refurbishment (desirable not essential)• Installation and Maintenance Pumping Stations• Mechanical Plant Repair, Maintenance & Refurbishment• Site Survey’s, Problem Solving and TroubleshootingWorking knowledge experience of:• All relevant H&S regulations and safe systems of work• Method Statements and Risk Assessments• Water Industry Experience (desirable)• Experience of Construction Site Environments• Knowledge of Mechanical Installations• Maturity and Engineering practicality• A full clean car driving licenceYou should be capable of and willing to:• Work to a Quality Management System• Be available for travel throughout Scotland and occasionally other parts of the UK• Be committed to continuous improvement• Be flexible in your approach and willing to be developed into other areasPreferred Certification:• Recognised practical qualifications or relevant training• SMSTS CSCS Card (Black)• Confined Space DOMS/National Water Hygiene• First Aid IOSH Working SafetyIf you have the required skills and experience for this role, click on APPLY and forward your up-to-date CV and cover letter.Please be advised due to the high number of applications should you not hear from us within 4 weeks, your application on this occasion has been unsuccessful.No agencies please!
