Production ManagerFolkstone, Kent£28,000 to £30,000 per annumMonday to Friday dayshift role, evening and weekend support required on occasion, time of in lieuProduction Manager sought within niche food producer offering internal training and development and long-term job security.The role will be suited to experienced production managers from ANY production or manufacturing background. You must be used to working to strict team based KPIs and work on continually changing production schedules. You will also be used to working on continuous improvements to production processes to minimise downtime. Any exposure to food production environments is ideal but not essential. HACCP/NEBOSH certs highly desired.The role will be the lead production role reporting to the operations manager. You will oversee the daily production activities of a team of 40 production operatives. The role will carry responsibility for all KPIs. policing of and adherence to all H&S policies and procedures and you will play a key role in evolving production processes to improve operational efficiency across the board.The company have been operational for over 50 years and produce specialised products that are distributed daily across the UKs main supermarket chains. The successful candidate will benefit from long-term job security and have potential for further technical development within the role.The role:* Production management of 40 operatives within a high-volume production environment.* Responsibility for rolling out, ensuring adherence to, and policing all H&S policies and procedures.* Work with regular production process changes and on improving production procedures to improve on efficiencies and reduce waste continually.* Report to the operations managerThe Person:* Must have previous production management experience with proven team leadership skills.* Food industry experience ideal although all backgrounds will be taken into consideration.* Those holding NEBOSH/HACCP certs are desired.
