We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our esteemed Secondary School as a full-time History Teacher on a long-term/permanentbasis, starting in September. This exciting role is located in the beautiful town of Gravesend, offering a stimulating environment and excellent career prospects.Position Overview:As a History Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire young minds and instill a love for the subject through your creative and interactive teaching methods. Your role will involve planning and delivering engaging lessons, incorporating a varietyof resources and strategies to ensure that all students reach their full potential. You will also be responsible for assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and creating a supportive classroom environment conducive to learning.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver well-structured lessons that align with the national curriculum, catering to the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Foster a stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and independent research.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to facilitate their progress and academic growth.
  • Establish positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians to foster a collaborative and supportive learning community.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of extracurricular activities, such as history clubs or educational trips, to enhance students learning experiences.
  • Stay updated with the latest educational developments and teaching techniques in the field of History, continually enhancing your own professional development.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant academic qualifications in History or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching History at secondary level, with a track record of achieving excellent student results.
  • Sound knowledge of the national curriculum and the ability to effectively incorporate technology into lessons.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
  • A passion for History, with the ability to inspire and instill a love for the subject in students.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively, ensuring all deadlines and administrative tasks are met.
