Job Description

Finance Manager to take the lead on finances and accounts for a large site in Medway, as a direct result of a contract win.Previous Supply Chain / Distribution sector experience highly beneficial.Client DetailsOur client are a well known, international supply chain, distribution, logistics and warehousing business based with numerous sites and contracts. This role is based at their Medway site and will service a new client contract.DescriptionAs Finance Manager you will report to the Senior Commercial Manager for the contract and will have a key role which includes:

  • Financial control for the warehousing and transport operations on a day to day basis
  • Developing budgets to drive performance and enhanced understanding of the operational cost drivers
  • Providing important management information / MI reporting
  • Providing open book reporting to the client and internally on time and with high accuracy
  • Partnering with the internal and external stakeholders to build trust and rapport.
  • Developing and training the assistant accountant for the contract who will report into you.
  • Provision of key info to the management team as and when required
ProfileThe successful Finance Manager will be based at the Medway site on a hybrid basis (2-3 times a week, as required), and is likely to have experience of- The logistics / warehousing / supply chain industry- Open book accounting- budgeting and forecastingYou will also be able to build strong relationships internally and externally, and be flexible to respond to the needs that arise.A full finance qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) is preferred.Job OfferBase salary of circa £50,000 +
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
