PR & Communications Executive

Job Description

We are looking for a brand new PR & Communications Executive to grow this division within a respectable company. This role will sit within a friendly marketing team that works together collaboratively. You will be responsible for maximizing positive awareness and engagement for the organization, helping position us as a leading training provider, committed to improving skills through training, qualification, and career support. This wonderful freshrole will focus on building key relationships and creating brand presence through social media, communications & PR.This is a truly lovely team we are building, offering flexible remote working. We need a writer, a doer, and a kind person!Location: Coventry, Warwickshire - 3 WFH!Role Responsibilities for the PR & Communications Executive:

• Support the development of the PR & Media strategy
• Create well written copy for PR releases, an excellent writer
• Use internal and external insights to develop and deliver strong media campaigns that will support the overall Marketing Plan
• Identify key trade publications across the sector, build media lists and establish relationships with editors and journalists
• Identify key industry bloggers and influencers and build relationships
• Establish and maintain a breadth of media contacts and a black book of print and broadcast journalists, positioning us as the go to spokesperson for comment on our sector.
• Build relationships with peers in relevant external partner PR/communications
• Create high-quality media materials, including media releases, media briefings and op-eds (opinion pieces)
• Create engaging written content in the form of feature articles, case studies and advertorials
• Create thought leadership content
• Establish measures and report on content coverage and engagement.
• Organize and attend promotional events such as press briefings, open days, exhibitions, stakeholder events.
• Support in the development and delivery of brand building events and activities such as Awards ceremonies, webinars and BBQs
• Commission and undertake online market research to develop strong stories to sell to the media.
• Create regular internal messaging to ensure staff are aware of media and brand awareness building activity via Sharepoint.

Requirements for the PR & Communications Executive:

• Have experience in marketing, PR & Comms
• Have excellent news sense and creative copywriting, oral presentation, and communication skills
• Thorough understanding of both print and digital media channels including the key role played by social media in PR.
• Be an effective communicator with the ability to engage with and influence a wide range of audiences.
• Demonstrate an ability to develop strong relationships and maximise partnership working.
• Have experience of operating with senior managers, directors, and Board members, both within and outside of an organization.
• Ability to work accurately and calmly under pressure
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high focus on the quality of work

Package for the PR & Communications Executive:

• Salary 28,000 to 30,000 depending on experience
