Job Description

A global supplier of precision engineered parts, is now seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join their ever expanding team. Trading for over 50 years, the business manufactures industrial (mainly) components for industry-specific needs right across globe. A constant investor in people, they strive to nurture staff from within and develop a strong skill base that will helps towards continuous growth.As the sole Continuous Improvement professional on site, you will have full autonomy to lead the way with improvements across the Production area and wider business. Working closely with the Quality team for support, this is an opportunity for someone to deliver lean tools and make a real long difference to the organisation.Some of the Continuous Improvement Engineer responsibilities are listed below -

  • Review and implement process control systems that help to deliver high quality products using cost-effective methods.
  • Analyse and improve manufacturing processes, so that efficiencies are improved and waste is reduced.
  • Plan and implement strategies across the Supply Chain area to help the business reach its project goals.
  • Provide the relevant training to staff on Lean/Six Sigma/CI tools and techniques.
  • We would love to hear from you if youve had experience in the following -
  • Experience of working in a similar role - implementing solutions.
  • Conversant with the quality tools including SPC, FMEA, VSM and Poka Yoke.
  • Understanding of mechnical production processes and procedures.
  • Ability to implement CI mechanisms across the wider operation (supply chain etc).
  • An engineering degree or other relevant engineering training.
